Na segunda, 26/11, aconteceu a premiação Gotham Awards, dos filmes independentes, grande termômetro das principais premiações de cinema.
Para se ter uma ideia, boa parte dos indicados nos últimos anos ganharam diversas indicações e prêmios no Oscar e Globo de Ouro, como ‘Me Chame Pelo Seu Nome’, ‘Moonlight’, ‘Spotlight’, ‘Eu, Tonya’ e ‘Corra!’. Os filmes com mais prêmios dessa vez foram ‘Eighth Grade’ e ‘First Reformed’, ambos com 2 vitórias na noite. Apesar disso, quem levou o prêmio máximo foi o épico de rodeio ‘The Rider’.
